The road to the finals for the Miss Sri Lanka 2010, 12 hopefuls Sri Lankan beauties was marked by visits to Fashion Bug recently. Top 12 beauties are Ashvini Peiris, Deena Tissera, Dilrupa Shanaz, Falan Ranasinghe, Gihani Gunarathne, Natashia Amanda, Nirasha Dilhari, Kristina Pereira, Pushpika Sandamali, Shalini Rajapaksha, Shashi Fernando and Sumudu Parasadini.

Deena Thisera
Deena Tissera vying for the Derana Miss Sri Lanka 2010 competition. 23 years old Deena is definitely one of those rare Sri Lankan girl who is not one of those stereotype beauties.

Speaking to srilankan-stars(SLS), Deena who tells her endeavours in life and her future plans.
Q: Tell us something about yourself?
A: I was born in Sri Lanka. I finished my intermediary studies at the british school in Colombo and moved to Melbourne Australia for my higher education. I am currently studying medical science and hoping to be a doctor.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: My hobbies are reading, listening to music, dancing, cooking, Whale watching and bird watching.There are some extraordinary things I would like to experience in life and some of
it would be sky diving, bungee jumping, and sailing around the world.
Deena highlighted, “I think of myself as being kind and a fun loving person whose strong willed and when given a task or responsibility I am determined to see it through. The strongest attribute in me is spirituality, the opportunity of getting to know God itself makes me feel like nothing is impossible.” Further adding, she advised, “I think I should be Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2010 because I am determined to take our country to another step because after more than 2 decades of war it's time to shine Sri Lanka and prove that we all Sri Lankans are strong and nothing can put us down"

Top 12 Finalists
Initial selection round of Derana Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2010 was held at the Mount Lavinia hotel last week. 12 beauties were selected for the final round. They are Ashvini Peiris, Deena Tissera, Dilrufa Shanaz, Fallon Ranasinghe, Gihani Gunarathne, Natashia Amenda, Nirasha Dilhari, Treshiya Khristina, Pushpika Sandamali, Shalini Rajapaksha, Shashi Fernando and Sumudu Parasadini.
